remember. They left and we went and made report at
Central Police Station. As cer was driving away I saw
it was numbered 147. At 11.00 hrs. on 20/2/46 I went to
Central Police Stati on. I was shown a number of fountain
pens and pencils and a number of wrist watches all lined
up on a table. Out of these I picked Exhs. B & C as my
property.

Residing at 36 Caine Rd. Italian Convent.
About 19.50 hrs. on 19/2/46 I was walking along Caine Rd.
with my friend Mr. Lee Kwok wing last witness. Near Old
Bailey St. a car came up from behind and stopped a little
beyond Italian Convent. It came from behind us. A man
masked with a piece of cloth alighted from car and pointed
a pistol at us. I don't know what type pistol. It was
dark I could not see. The man asked my friend to produce
his money. I wanted to run away. I ran two/three paces.
I did not scream. A man jumped out from car, put his arm
round me from behind and snatched my hand-bag. I screamed.
Man with pistol said "If you shout I will shoot you to death"
The men with the hand-bag went back to car. I asked man with
pistol to give back my hand-bag. He gave it back. He took
away the money in hand-bag $235 in denomination of 1 $100
note 2 $50 notes 1 $10 note 3 $5 notes the rest I don't
remember. I also had Portuguese money 1 $10 note 2 $5 notes
the rest in 50-cent notes between $25/30. We went to Police
